Introduction

This capstone consists of two short stories, both narrated by young women in their early twenties. The first story, "Sleep, Baby, Sleep,” follows the journey of Nora and how she struggles to find the right way to come to terms with the loss of a parent. In the second story, “Broken Dolls,” Lois remembers her roommate who had died unexpectedly and asks herself if there were any possibility for remedy. Broken Dolls explores the different forms of love and asks questions about how to deal with loss and more importantly, what it means to grieve.

  • Broken Dolls
